London Calling

Well, I submitted my deposit to travel and intern in London this summer…sooo excited! I’ve been wanting to travel/study abroad ever since I got back from a trip to France and Spain in high school! haha. My plans to study abroad in college didn’t work out logistically because I graduated an entire year early…priorities, priorities…if I could go back, I probably wouldn’t have graduated early. Hey, we ALL deserve 4 years of college 😉
But, anyways, those times are in the past…instead, let’s focus on the present, shall we! I’m going to be in Europe for an 8-week internship, from June to August. My plans are to fly out of the U.S. around the second week of May, and do some traveling beforehand as well as during my 8-week stay in London. I’m such a planner, so I’ve already mapped out places I want to visit and have been researching everything from flights to trains to places to stay in different countries. Here’s a list of the places I’d love to visit while abroad:
  •  France
    • Paris (for the second time…ah), Nice, Reims, possibly Bordeaux
  • Germany
    • Munich, Frankfurt
  • Spain
    • Valencia (I’ve been to Madrid and Barcelona before…both are lovely)
  • Ireland
    • Dublin
    • Cork
    • Galway
  • Italy
    • Venice
    • Rome
  • Amsterdam
  • Edinburgh
  • Egypt
    • Alexandria
    • Giza
So my question to you is….where would you go, if you could go anywhere in Europe? What places around Europe have you visited and enjoyed? I’ll gladly take suggestions 🙂

January Beauty Favorites

Admittedly, I’m somewhat of a beauty product fanatic. I try to not spend so much money…but sometimes that plan doesn’t work out. Luckily, the majority of products I use aren’t too expensive, so I don’t feel too bad using them regularly.

1. Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief, $34
Where to Buy: Clinique Beauty counter in the mall or at Sephora

2. Victoria’s Secret Sunkissed Bronze Instant Self Tan Lotion, $12
Right now, you can buy 2/$20 at!

3. BareMinerals Customizable Starter Kit, $49
I bought this kit in Sephora over a year ago, and now I’m hooked on the whole BareMinerals makeup system. It really does improve your skin tone, and it looks natural while covering imperfections! The starter kit is a great place to start if you’re new to BareMinerals makeup…I promise, you’ll love it 🙂

4. Herbal Essences Body Envy 2-in-1 Volumizing Shampoo/Conditioner, $3.99
Where to Buy:, Walmart, Target, grocery stores, drugstores
I have pretty thick hair, but when I straighten it, its too flat…using Body Envy helps prevent that unwanted flatness!

5. Chi Air 1″ Ceramic Hair Styling Iron, $99.99
I’ve been using flat irons for years, but I’ve never had such great results until I started using the Chi to straighten my hair…its a lifesaver!

Well, I made the jump from WordPress to Blogger. I know, I know…that probably doesn’t make much sense, but there are just so many features that are provided on Blogger that are not provided on! I’m keeping the same name of my blog, Working On The Fab Life, but after many failed attempts, all of my old posts will not be transferred to this new blog. I was not too thrilled about that, but unfortunately, WordPress doesn’t want you to switch…so they make it too complicated to move your contents! Haha 🙂
I think I might continue to use WordPress occasionally to update what is going on in my life, since that was my first blog’s original purpose! However, my ideas and inspiration for blogging have changed since I started blogging over a year ago, and I’m more interested in writing about things like fashion and fitness (and hopefully travel!) in the future 🙂
