Dining Room Inspiration | Bold + Traditional

April 8, 2020 Comments : 6

With a lot more time on our hands, we finally got around to painting our dining room! It was one of the projects we kept putting off after moving in, as we got busy with the holidays and everyday life – but it was time to wrap things up. I️ didn’t think painting would inspire me so much, but it did – and now I️’m excited to complete the dining room project in full! We ended up going with SW Agreeable Gray because the front living room was already this color and these two rooms open up to one another.

I️’m excited to be working with Havenly to come up with the full design for our dining room. I️ first heard about Havenly from Christina from Carolina Charm and bookmarked the site for when we were ready to decorate our new home. We are not planning on buying a new table and chairs at the moment, so I️’m primarily seeking help with wall decor, table decor, window treatments, a new light fixture and possibly a bar cart or buffet. I️ thought I️’d share a photo of how my dining room looks currently along with some of my inspiration photos. My Havenly designer started on my dining room design yesterday and I️ should have a few renderings in a couple of days, so I️’m excited to hear her input! Use my referral link for $50 off your full design or $20 off a mini design!

We actually just put the drapes up and I️ really like them so I️’m hoping our designer can work with these!

As you might can tell from these dining room inspiration photos, I️’m not 100% sure what my ‘style’ is – the Havenly style quiz I️ took said my #1 result is Coastal, followed by Traditional. I️ definitely lean on the side of Traditional, but I️ also appreciate a bold punch of color or a pattern here and there. I️’m hoping my designer can help me pull this together into a cohesive room design. I️ will definitely share the final details as soon as we settle on the final decor. Don’t forget to use my referral link if you want to give Havenly a try!

Oh there are so many favorites here
We actually eat in our dining room a lot, so I try to keep it fairly casual. At the holidays, I keep the table dressed with place settings.

Yes, we always eat in our dining room too so I️ definitely want it to be functional! 🙂 I️ need to step up my holiday place setting game – that’s one thing I️’ve always wanted to be better at!

A little glimpse of what’s most important in lif A little glimpse of what’s most important in life - family, togetherness, snuggles ❤️ I’ll be honest and say that running a business takes a lot out of you, and some days I question whether it’s worth it. There is another business that has been out to get me since I started, and yesterday they tried to win. I all but gave up yesterday. It just didn’t feel worth it to put up a fight when I could go back to my ‘old’ life of being a mom, blogger, and freelance writer (all 3 of which I’ve sucked at since starting my charcuterie biz). I felt guilty for spending 6 months of my life growing a business and then letting it fall apart. I felt guilty for all the time spent away from my family because I was so busy and could barely keep up. And then I remembered why I was so busy, it’s because people appreciate my work and love what I do. I built a brand that people respect and all of that hard work is most definitely worth it when I see how far I’ve come in the past 6 months. This is a reminder for all of us to never give up and never let the enemy win. ❤️

I joke about it being a ‘dumpster fire,’ but I have appreciated all of the extra time at home with my family, not feeling the pressure to always be on the go and of course, launching my business @somethingbleuclt! ✨ I hope you have time for a moment to reflect on your year and find the good moments and hold onto those memories ❤️
