Faster Way to Fat Loss | Trader Joe’s Shopping List

February 5, 2020 Comments : 4

I️’ve talked about my love of the Faster Way to Fat Loss program several times on the blog and I️ often share some of my favorite meal ideas over on IG. I️ followed the program really closely last year while pregnant with baby #3 and I️ felt good knowing I️ was eating a healthy, balanced diet – I️ rarely ever craved any junk food, which was definitely a change from my previous two pregnancies!

I️ also share my favorite Trader Joe’s finds on the regular, and I️ have a list of go-to items that I️ like to keep on hand for hitting my optimal macros each day. I️ decided I️’d take you guys along for my most recent TJ’s trip and share all of these favorites that are perfect for the FWTFL program (or just a balanced diet, in general!).

Trader Joe’s Favorites for the Faster Way to Fat Loss Program

I️ am going to break my Faster Way to Fat Loss faves down by category and you can also download a printable list to take with you on your next trip to Trader Joe’s!

Produce

Spinach
Mushrooms
Grape Tomatoes – Loved slicing these and topping with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and cracked pepper
Avocados – Mondays + Tuesdays are ‘high fat/low carb’ days, so I️ would always incorporate at least one avocado each day to hit my macros!
Shredded Cabbage – Perfect for Egg Roll in a Bowl
Apples – I️’ll have an apple with almond butter for an afternoon snack sometimes
Shaved Brussels Sprouts – Saute these with some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic and pepper!
Green Goddess Salad Dressing – This stuff is the BOMB and has great macros

Refrigerated

Vegan Basil Pesto – This was another great one for low carb day…I️’d top chicken with this pesto in the slow cooker for a delicious dinner.
Hummus
Chicken Sausage
Ground Turkey
Dairy-Free Cheese – It’s best to skip dairy when you’re strictly following the FWTFL program, and as someone who’s been dairy-free for several years, I️ can tell you that it’s possible to get used to dairy-free cheese!

Frozen

Brown Rice – I️ always have a hard time hitting my carb goal on regular macro days, so I️ like to incorporate a healthy grain into each meal.
Riced Cauliflower – This is your lifeline on low-carb days – it can literally go in any recipe!
Cauliflower Gnocchi
Zucchini Spirals – Great in place of pasta for things like spaghetti, etc.
Chile Lime Chicken Burgers – One of my fave easy proteins for lunch!
Chopped Bell Pepper
Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Pantry Staples

Nut Butters – Good for low carb/high fat days, my faves are almond butter and sunflower seed butter
Nuts – Another easy grab and go snack for low carb/high fat days
Coconut Aminos – This is something I️ keep on hand for any type of Oriental-style recipe
Plantain Chips – These are great with hummus or with a salad
Dried Fruit – Good way to get your carbs in on regular macro days
Seasonings – My faves are Everything But the Bagel and Chile Lime Seasoning
Coconut Oil
Olive Oil
Canned Coconut Milk
Fig and Balsamic Dressing

Aww, man, I️ know what you mean – I️ had to live without one for 2 years and it was rough! Haha! It’s 95mg per serving (which I️ believe is 2tbsp)!

A little glimpse of what’s most important in lif A little glimpse of what’s most important in life - family, togetherness, snuggles ❤️ I’ll be honest and say that running a business takes a lot out of you, and some days I question whether it’s worth it. There is another business that has been out to get me since I started, and yesterday they tried to win. I all but gave up yesterday. It just didn’t feel worth it to put up a fight when I could go back to my ‘old’ life of being a mom, blogger, and freelance writer (all 3 of which I’ve sucked at since starting my charcuterie biz). I felt guilty for spending 6 months of my life growing a business and then letting it fall apart. I felt guilty for all the time spent away from my family because I was so busy and could barely keep up. And then I remembered why I was so busy, it’s because people appreciate my work and love what I do. I built a brand that people respect and all of that hard work is most definitely worth it when I see how far I’ve come in the past 6 months. This is a reminder for all of us to never give up and never let the enemy win. ❤️

I joke about it being a ‘dumpster fire,’ but I have appreciated all of the extra time at home with my family, not feeling the pressure to always be on the go and of course, launching my business @somethingbleuclt! ✨ I hope you have time for a moment to reflect on your year and find the good moments and hold onto those memories ❤️
