I’ve always believed you can’t have enough Christmas decor – if there’s a way to make a room look more festive, I’m going to give it a shot! One area where I’ve wanted to incorporate more holiday decor in is the kitchen. Since it’s one of my most favorite rooms and where I spend way too much time (the dishes and cooking never end, y’all), I really wanted to amp up the festivity this year. I came across the cutest idea on Pinterest – hanging mini kitchen cabinet wreaths from the cabinet doors – and decided to go for it.
I was able to find these kitchen cabinet wreaths really easily online (I used the 4″ size, but there are smaller and larger options, too!) and I grabbed holiday ribbon from Michaels, which happened to be on sale. I really wanted to check out Hobby Lobby, but I was running errands on Sunday and it was closed – and I’m impatient like that.

This was literally the easiest project, y’all! It took all of an hour from start to finish – and that’s including taking photos. I had to fluff up the wreaths a bit since they shipped flat, measure and cut the ribbon (I used 3/8″ ribbon), and then I attached them to the cabinet doors with painter’s tape to prevent damaging the paint (because I don’t want to undo all that hard work we did painting the cabinets!).
We decided to have the kitchen cabinet wreaths fall about halfway down the cabinet doors, so I used a tape measure to get the length and then I just doubled that amount (since it’s looped around the wreath). For our cabinets, I used 32″ of ribbon for each wreath on the large doors and 16″ on the small doors.
I am in love with the finished project and our kitchen looks so cozy and festive! For less than $40, this is a great way to amp up your Christmas decor – and you can reuse it year after year. 🙂
Update: I️ am still using these cute wreaths in 2020 – they’ve held up so well! I️ did purchase new ribbon like this for a little update when we moved to a new home, but I️ love that I️’ve been able to use these wreaths year after year!

Very cute and festive. In the past, I have used hot glue to adhere the ribbon to the cabinet to hang three Christmas cards on each cabinet. Never thought to just use painter’s’ tape. Thanks for the tip.
Ah, yes, painters tape is magical! I also use it to hang my Christmas cards! 🙂
