Happy Friday! It has been a WEEK over here and I️’m ready for some rest. Between a sick husband, mom-ming 24/7, a baby who apparently hates sleep now and a misbehaving dog, I️ feel a little behind on life – and most of my Christmas decor isn’t even down yet! I️ don’t say that to complain, but just to share that things are not always picture-perfect over here! I️ know it can be easy to think that when I️ just share ‘pretty’ pictures but there’s a lot more behind the scenes. 🙂 I️ am excited to continue my Friday Favorites series and share a few more of my recent faves!
So, funny story. My husband had been begging for a Roomba for many years, like since we started dating. I️ never saw the point of it. It’s been on his Christmas list forever and I️ was always like, no, we don’t need that! HA. How the times have changed! We had a pretty substantial reward sitting around from Best Buy since we purchased our appliances from there, so I️ put it toward the Roomba 890 for my husband’s Christmas gift. The best part is, though, is I️’ve been using it daily and I️’ve officially become a Roomba fan! I️ personally love that it fits beneath most tables, the sofa and the beds, so it can reach places I️ wouldn’t normally be able to clean with our regular vacuum. The amount of dirt it picks up daily is astounding and makes me realize we should have been doing a daily vacuum session all along! It also connects to the wifi, so we can control it using our Amazon Echo – I️ just tell Alexa to start the Roomba or end a cleaning session.
I️ know I️ talked about this in detail in a post this week, but I️ just really love it and it’s become a staple in our house! This week alone, I️’ve used it to get essentials and groceries from Target and Lidl. If it weren’t for needing Trader Joe’s in my life, we’d never have to step foot in a grocery store again! Shipt has given us so much time back – we used to do all of our grocery shopping on weekends, but now we only have the occasional stop at Trader Joe’s or BJ’s. Burn Boot Camp
I️ tried Burn for the first time in December, because I️ kept hearing great things about it and knew so many people who loved the workouts. I️’ve been a Pure Barre devotee for 4 years now, but I️ used to run half marathons and teach Spin classes, and I️ missed the adrenaline rush from more intense workouts. I️ decided to sign up for the Raise the Bar Challenge (only $99!) so I️ could get a good feel for Burn and see if it’s something I️ want to continue after the challenge ends. Not only is it a fantastic workout, but we have a studio 5 minutes from our house (basically right outside of our neighborhood), which makes it easy to get there in the evenings…PLUS, they offer childcare, so when I️ feel comfortable leaving Brynn, I️ can bring the girls with me and work out during the day! Game changer.
So, if I️ had to choose a theme for this week’s Friday Favorites, I️ guess I️’d say ‘things that make life more convenient!’ I️ am always looking for ways to get more time back in my day and all 3 of these make an impact. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these favorites in the comments below – or if you have other faves to share!
