Happy Friday, y’all! Looking forward to the weekend over here – even though, admittedly, this week flew by. I’m itching to do some home projects since it’s been a while, so fingers crossed I’ll have the time and motivation to get started over the weekend! I wanted to pop and share a few of my Friday favorites this week.

1 – IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer
I’ve heard such rave reviews about this concealer that I finally caved and grabbed one at Sephora last weekend – it was a Mother’s Day gift to myself 😉 The Sephora employee mentioned that it works best when you use a moisturizing eye cream beneath it, so I made sure I applied my eye cream first and let it dry a bit, then put a suuuuper tiny dab of concealer under your eye (it goes a long way!) and blend. I really noticed a difference immediately – my eyes look brighter and it lasts all day, so those pesky dark circles don’t reappear in the afternoon!
2 – Leith Tank Dress
I found this cute tank dress via Style Your Senses (like a lot of my wardrobe, to be honest!) – I had a Nordstrom gift card burning a hole in my pocket and the dress is 40% off so I decided it was time to order it. I have super high hopes for it – I really love easy summer outfits for errands, playdates, the park, etc. Counting down until it arrives on Saturday – yay!
3 – Sausage, Spinach, Cauliflower Rice + Apple Skillet
This was a new recipe we tried this week for dinner and I really liked it (probably way more than anyone else in my family did #truth). I altered the recipe slightly, adding sliced sauteed apples, a few drizzles of balsamic vinegar and honey to pump up the flavor. Filling, healthy and of course, super low-carb since you use cauliflower “rice” instead of a grain or potato.

4 – Enjoying Summer at Home
This isn’t really a “thing” per se, but this is the first summer I’ve been able to really make my own schedule and do things with my girls anytime I want. I went from working in a corporate office to working full-time from home (2016) to working part-time from home (2017) to finally working on my own time as a freelancer. Now that it’s officially summer (no more MDO), it’s nice to be able to go the playground on a whim or run to the grocery store at 10am when it’s not crowded or hit up as many library storytimes as possible (for my sanity more than the girls!). For once in my adult life, it actually feels like SUMMER again (no one prepares you for real life with no summer break, #amIright?). I’m currently making a summer activity list to keep us all entertained and hopefully will be ready to share it on the blog soon!
Let me know what your Friday Favorites are in the comments section below! Hope you have a great weekend!
