Happy Friday! I️ missed out on last week’s Friday Favorites because the entire week was a struggle, mostly with the bedtime routine. After working to improve that a bit (more about that below!), this week has turned into a nap/quiet time battle. Is this just a parenting norm…to always have some sort of battle or struggle going on? Tell me I️’m not the only one! ha ha 🙂

ONE | Melatonin Gummies

Like I️ mentioned above, we’ve been dealing with so many bedtime routine struggles – honestly, this has been an issue for a while now, like over a year. But it had gotten so much worse and every night was just rough with our five-year-old. You would think the older child would be better with bedtime, (and the girls share a room so they aren’t “alone”) but that wasn’t the case. Every night she tried to stall bedtime and it got to the point of her screaming at us hysterically when we told her that was the last *thing* before we shut the door. And then both girls kept coming out of their room, like 5-6 times after we put them down, and staying awake playing for like an HOUR before they ever fell asleep! Anyways, it just made us dread nighttime and I️ polled some of you on IG about how to get kids to sleep and got lots of great feedback. I️ decided to start small by incorporating melatonin gummies into our nighttime routine. I️ take the adult version and they work amazingly well at helping me fall asleep, so I️ snagged the kid version for the girls. I️’m happy to report that we’ve had a pain-free bedtime routine every single night since we started giving them these gummies! We give them each one about 30 minutes before bedtime and you can tell it works because they mellow out SO much compared to what it was like before using these (aka, bouncing off the walls).
TWO | Orgain Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein

I️’ve been a huge fan of Orgain protein powder for several years now and have even partnered with the brand to share some of my favorite products. They sent me their newest protein flavor to try – Chocolate Peanut Butter – and I️ have to say it’s by far my favorite one! I️’ve been using it in protein pancakes, oatmeal and just as a protein shake after Burn Boot Camp. Of course, I️ like peanut butter flavored anything, so no surprise that I️ love this one – but I️ highly recommend this if you’re looking for a good dairy-free protein that tastes great!
THREE | IQ Bars

I️ used to be a protein bar junkie, but since going dairy-free, I️’ve had a hard time finding one that I️ truly love. There are a lot that I️ *like* (I️’ve tried almost all of them) but I️ never found a true dairy-free favorite until I️ was introduced to IQ Bars. I️ love the flavor options, plus the fact that they aren’t overly chewy AND they’re Paleo-friendly! I️ do wish they had more protein (I️ like bars with 20+ grams of protein), but to be honest, I️’ve yet to find a dairy-free bar that has more than 12-13g of protein.

I️ love when I️ find quality supplements like these that work for us! I️ didn’t set out for this week to be focused on healthy living/supplements, but these are all things I️ reach for regularly so I️ wanted to share them with you guys! 🙂 Let me know if you’ve tried any of my Friday favorites in the comments below – or if you have other faves to share!
