I️ can’t believe it’s already Friday again! Somehow the weeks go by slowly and extremely fast at the same time – I️ think that may just be life with young kids. Ha! We’ve had an interesting weather week – starting off with gorgeous spring weather and opening the windows on Monday to enjoy it and ending with thunderstorms, tornado warnings and back to cold temps. The tease of warmer weather has inspired me to really get our home projects going…we lost a lot of momentum over the holidays, but now I️ just want to get it all done and make it look like we actually *live* here 🙂 We did a super small project this week that I’ll be sharing below. This week’s Friday Favorites is admittedly a little bit all over the place, so bear with me!

ONE | Chocolate-Dipped Cookie Dough Hearts
My girls are always asking to do crafts or bake something and they love a good holiday theme (totally got that from me!). I️ found a recipe for these cute cookie dough hearts covered in chocolate and we all chipped in to make them together. They are pretty delicious, but I️’m all about cookie dough, so no surprise there. I️ personally enjoy cookie dough way more than baked cookies!
TWO | Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter
My skin gets so dry and itchy in the winter and I️ tried so many lotions and none helped. In the fall, I️ saw Trader Joe’s had a seasonal pumpkin spice body butter and naturally, I️ had to try it. I️ ended up falling in love with it and it moisturized my skin so well! I️ was sad to run out of that one, but picked up the vanilla scent during the holidays and that was great too. Just a few weeks ago, I️ ran out and all they had was the original coconut scent – which smells amazing! I️ usually lean toward more pricey beauty products, but this inexpensive body butter is now my go-to.
THREE | Under Cabinet Lighting
We have been talking about under-cabinet lighting for several years now. We wanted to do it in our last house and were actually in the process of researching the best types when we had a change of plans and sold our house. We’ve invested a lot more in this kitchen and house than we’ve ever done before with previous homes, as we really want to customize it for us – so we finally bit the bullet and got under-cabinet lighting! We decided to go with battery-operated lights for now – these were highly recommended and we didn’t want to deal with hiding cords, etc. with wired lighting. They definitely add a little something to the kitchen and I️’m so glad we did it!
Told you guys this week’s Friday Favorites were all over the place! My goal is to only share things I️ really, truly love and use, so sometimes there’s zero theme involved 🙂 Let me know if you’ve tried any of my Friday favorites in the comments below – or if you have other faves to share this week!
