It’s been a while since I’ve posted a healthy grocery haul, but with the start of a new month and our monthly Costco trip happening last weekend, I thought it’d be a perfect time to do one! A while back, I shared my healthy Costco favorites in a post and mentioned we try to limit our trips to once per month – so when we DO go, we tend to stock up.
We recently stopped using our Keurig (I actually sold it) in favor of just using the Ninja Coffee Bar I got last Christmas, which means we no longer have to buy K-Cups – yay! I actually found I prefer the taste of the fresh ground Starbucks Espresso we use in the Ninja and as a bonus, we will end up saving a pretty penny over time. With that said, the bill for our healthy grocery haul should be slightly less frightening ๐

Since it was the start of a new month, and the fact there were some amazing sales going on, I definitely stocked up on things at all our favorite stores…hence why this past weekend’s grocery bill was higher than usual. With that said, I still feel like I snagged some great deals and things that will take us into the next month, too. Below, I listed out everything and broke down certain things by how many meals it will take us through (especially things from Costco, since it’s a larger quantity). You can also check out this week’s meal plan to see how we’ll be using some of this healthy grocery haul!

I know that seems like a lot – and it IS for our weekly grocery spending, but when we buy at Costco, it’s generally expected that it will last multiple weeks if not months (depending on what it is). I also stocked up on some things that were on sale, where I would typically only buy if we were out if it altogether…and I snagged probiotics and elderberry syrup for the girls since school is back in session and we all know that means germ season is upon us! A typical weeks’ worth of groceries for us, excluding Costco, is about $125…and we buy primarily lean protein and veggies. We have a Trader Joes opening in a few weeks (SO excited), so I expect we’ll save a few dollars here and there (on specialty things like coconut aminos, coconut milk, organic veggies, etc.) – I will definitely share a grocery haul once I hit TJs!
