It’s hard to believe it’s already that time of year. I always say I’m going to get my shopping and gift wrapping done early, but it never fails that I’m staying up late the week of Christmas to wrap some last-minute gifts! Thank goodness for Amazon Prime, though…and online shopping in general. Am I right, y’all? The crazy holiday shoppers are already out and about and I want literally nothing to do with it. I’ll sit here at my computer and order everything I need. 🙂

First up on the agenda, a little gift guide for the toddlers in your life. I’m not huge on buying toys, since that’s usually what my girls get from family and they really don’t need MORE than what they already have/get. If it is a toy, I like for it to be educational and/or creative. We also really like giving experiences rather than tangible things, because getting out of the house and doing things are SO much more fun!
Membership to the Zoo or Botanical Gardens – We had a membership to the local botanical gardens this year and it was actually a lot of fun to take the girls over the summer.
Dance or Gymnastics Lessons – We signed Blair up for ballet for a birthday gift last year and it was so much fun to watch her begin to learn dance!
Princess Dress-Up Trunk – I loved playing dress-up as a little girl, and my girls are no different! This one is definitely on Blair’s list this year.
Magna-Tiles – These are the coolest and I really love that they stick together. No more blocks/toys/small pieces thrown all over the floor!
Play Instruments – We’ve been taking music classes once a week, and my girls really love playing with the kid-size instruments. There are so many little instrument sets, but the Melissa & Doug brand is always my go-to for quality toys.
Mr. Potato Head – Believe it or not, we don’t have one of these. I remember how much I loved this as a kid and it’s like one of few ‘toys’ that I don’t mind getting my girls.
Mega Bloks – We have these, but I’d say these are easily my girls’ favorite thing to play with! Since they’re on the larger side, it’s a safe option for little ones who prefer to put toys in their mouths.
Bath Dropz – These are fun little tablets that turn bathwater different colors. I actually heard about them from first from Christina of Carolina Charm and then I found a little pack in the Target dollar section. My girls loved them, so I think this will make a great stocking stuffer!
Birthdate Printable – Blair already has one of these in her room – I purchased the printable from Etsy and found a cute frame from HomeGoods. I have this on Blakely’s list this year, since she doesn’t have one yet and there’s a wall in her nursery that needs a little decor!
Cozy Slippers – Both of my girls are in need of some cute slippers for winter. Blair has a pair that are definitely two sizes too small and she’s still squeezing into them somehow…
Table & Chairs – One of the simplest ideas, but I think every kid loves having a cute table and chair that’s their size. We actually have two at our house – one in the kitchen and one in our playroom…and both get used regularly!
Play Kitchen – You can’t go wrong with a little kitchen for your toddler. My girls have always loved doing the same thing that mama and daddy are doing, so we have their little kitchen in our hearth room next to the actual kitchen so they can “help” us cook. This particular one resembles the much more expensive Pottery Barn Kids version for a fraction of the price!
