It wasn’t too long ago that I shared our kitchen cabinet refresh – but since then, we’ve also painted the walls a gorgeous light gray. I hated the builder basic beige walls throughout our house, and we’ve slowly been crossing paint projects off our to-do list. The kitchen was one room I was dying to paint, especially after we finished the white cabinet project!
Even though we have lots of windows in our house, the trees in our backyard block full sunlight from coming in – so the kitchen always seemed really dark with the terrible beige paint on the walls. I love how the natural light reflects off the new, much lighter paint color and brightens the room!
Here are a few before shots (you can see more in the cabinet update post):

Annnd now for how it currently looks!
The next and final thing (for now!) we plan to do in the kitchen is install white subway tile backsplash. I just can’t stand all the beige, so the current backsplash has to go! I’d also love to redo the floors and install Carrera marble countertops, but I don’t think that will happen anytime soon, so for now, I’ll just keep dreaming. 🙂
