Finally fully caught up to speed with these pregnancy recap updates – I’m just now entering Week 17 and we find out baby’s gender this week!

Pregnancy Week By Week | Weeks 13-16

  • Due Date: August 13, 2019
  • Baby is the size of a: Avocado (at 16 weeks)
  • Total weight gain: 3 lbs
  • The bump: Can’t hide it with workout clothes, but if I wear looser fitting tops, you can’t tell!
  • Symptoms: Exhaustion, round ligament pain
  • Food cravings: Lemon water, cooked spinach, avocado, salty foods
  • Food aversions: Sweets, plain water
  • Sleep: Really good
  • What I miss: Not being so tired
  • Movement: I feel like I’ve noticed a few flutters
  • Maternity clothes: Just the hair tie around my jeans button trick
  • What I’m most looking forward to: Hopefully coming out of the state of constant exhaustion for a little bit šŸ™‚
  • Apps I’ve used: The Bump, Ovia Pregnancy
  • Products I’ve been loving: Diclegis, Zantac, Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter
  • Books: None
  • Purchases for baby: NoneĀ 

What’s Happening By the Week

Pregnancy Week By Week | Weeks 13-16

Week 13 – We spent the week at the beach with my family and it was nice having a bit of a ‘break’ taking care of two kids 24/7! I got to relax a little more than usual and sleep later, too. Most of the week was beautiful, so we spent lots of time outside and enjoying the beach. I did not eat quite as healthy as usual this week and could tell – I felt a little more sluggish and needed a lot more Zantac to keepĀ indigestion away. Also, this was the week we decided to announce we were pregnant with baby #3!

Week 14 – This week hit me like a ton of bricks because I went from not having to change a single diaper the previous week to all the diaper changes, chasing after kids and getting back to real life. It was also a busy week since we had a birthday party to attend and it was Valentine’s week. Somehow, I got through the week in one piece. šŸ™‚

Pregnancy Week By Week | Weeks 13-16

Week 15 – Feeling lots better on the nausea front this week, but still have random bouts of dry heaving (so gross!). I’ve been super exhausted, which I was hoping would get better this trimester but we’ll see. Nighttime is still when I feel the worst, but it’s been life-changing to get through the day actually getting things done, running errands, etc. without feeling like I need to lay down 24/7!

Week 16 – I’ve felt better this week than my entire pregnancy thus far, so I will call that a win. I’ve been able to do more around the house and I feel almost 100% during my workouts, too. I also have to mention that I was able to drink coffee again – yay! I did start to notice some round ligament pain, but I had that with both of my girls, too. We got a new bed this week and I’ve been sleeping so amazingly well. Also, I’m pretty sure I felt some butterflies/movement the past few days!

Last week to this week āž”ļø We’re SO grateful Last week to this week āž”ļø We’re SO grateful for a quick recovery from pneumonia — having a sick child is scary enough, but to top it off with no space in our local hospitals’ PICU and being flown to Asheville, you can imagine we were beyond stressed last week 😩 So so grateful she’s back to normal and on International Women’s Day, it felt like a good time to celebrate Brynn 🄰 Thank you to all of our friends & family who reached out, lent a helping hand and kept us in your thoughts & prayers ā¤ļø

These beauties went camping at the @schielemuseum These beauties went camping at the @schielemuseum with Troop 2997 last night ā›ŗļø Proud of them for being brave because when I was their age, you couldn’t catch me sleeping away from home…ever 🤣

Prolon Day 3 | The day started off really good — Prolon Day 3 | The day started off really good — I felt very clear-minded and awake this AM 🄳 Truly, I was nervous because today was a very low-cal day and I wasn’t sure how I’d feel šŸ˜… I did grab a plain iced espresso because my energy was depleting super quickly and that def helped šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ After lunch, though, I started to hate depriving myself of real food and disliked that I couldn’t push myself in my workouts like I usually do šŸ˜’ After dealing with three kids who clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed šŸ˜†, slicing my hand open with a knife and being cranky and irritable because I’ve been hangry for 3 days, I caved. And sorry, not sorry āœŒšŸ¼ I just wanted a dang salad and some protein so I can lift heavy things šŸ’ŖšŸ¼ Moral of the story, listen to your body and what it needs. And maybe try a 1-2 day cleanse/fast because that’s about all mine could handle 🤪

@prolonfmd Day Two | Overall an easier day than ye @prolonfmd Day Two | Overall an easier day than yesterday šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ Time went by faster and I didn’t have any nausea from being hungry…I looked forward to and savored all of today’s meals — the black bean soup for dinner was actually really good (esp with a little cumin + paprika!) šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ I did @pure_barre this AM and then a @onepeloton walk this afternoon…keeping it light because of how little I’m consuming this week šŸ˜… Not gonna lie, nervous for day 3 because it’s the lightest day of food and I’m already pretty hangry in general 🤣 Interestingly, I’ve felt pretty amazing today other than just craving a real meal šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ Btw, was so hungry for dinner that I forgot to share it in the reel šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø
