Since we’ve been spending a lot more time at home, I️’ve been relying more heavily on Amazon (if that’s even possible!) for most of my non-grocery purchases. I️ have also been trying to do a better job of keeping the house clean, including some of the easily forgotten tasks…like cleaning the dishwasher. I️ thought I️’d share some of my recent favorite Amazon finds with you today!
I️’ve seen this all over the internet for several years now, but felt like it was a little pricey. Then, a favorite blogger of mine shared that she just uses a spoonful of this with her regular unscented detergent to get more bang for the buck. Sometimes our clothes don’t smell as fresh as I️’d like (probably my bad for forgetting to put them in the dryer for a day or two…oops), so I️ finally ordered a bottle of Glamorous Wash to try for myself. It is VERY strong-scented, so you definitely only need a spoonful to get the job done! I️’ve been using it for over a week now and love how great all of our clothes and linens smell.
I️ try to clean our Ninja Coffee Bar regularly, but sometimes it slips my mind and I️ don’t think about it until the orange light comes on letting me know it’s due for a cleaning. I️ couldn’t find the kind I️ used in the past, but I️ tried this cleaner a few weeks ago and I️’m happy to report that it worked so well! I️ will definitely buy this brand again next time.
Cleaning the dishwasher is another one of those tasks that I️ always forget to tackle. I️ love our KitchenAid dishwasher and it cleans well, but for some reason, it seems to get dirtier than our past dishwashers. We’ve been better about cleaning the filters regularly and I️ tried the Affresh Cleaning Discs this time to see if it would clean better than another kind I️’ve used in the past. I️ was impressed by how much better the dishwasher looked after using the cleaning discs and will be using them regularly to maintain it! TIP: our dishwasher had a lot of build-up from previous failed attempts at cleaning it. I️ used an old dish brush and Barkeeper’s Friend to scrub away most of this grime from these spots (mostly by the edges and on the door).
Changing gears a bit, let’s talk about skincare! I️ have been using a skincare regimen for a while, but still get random breakouts. I️’ve noticed they’ve worsened since I️’ve been taking morning walks and working out at home, as I️ rarely wash my face right afterward and my pores are probably getting clogged. I️’ve heard great things about micellar water for double cleansing, so I️ ordered this bottle for only $7 and use it after I️ wash my face to ensure I️’m removing any residue. I️ love how clean my skin feels so far and I️ hope that it will be the solution for these pesky breakouts!
I️’ve sung the praises of collagen powder for several years now, but I️ ran out a few months ago and forgot to reorder. I️ felt like my skin was looking dull and my joints were aching more after a workout, so I️ finally remembered to order more last month. I️ put a scoop in my coffee each morning and it dissolves perfectly. I️ love that it also a decent amount of protein since I️’m always looking for ways to hit my macro goals.
As you can see, my Amazon finds are a pretty mixed bag – I️ like to check there first to see if the prices are better and often, they are! It also seems like Amazon has resumed its typical Prime shipping schedule and we get our packages in 1-2 days. What are your favorite Amazon finds lately?
