I remember the days where I used to blog every day, about nothing more than my daily activities & workouts. I miss it. Now, I always feel intimidated when I sit in front of my computer screen…I feel like I have nothing to say that is ‘newsworthy’. As I found myself thinking that recently, I felt like I needed to challenge myself to think of a reason why each day is unique. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, but alas, that’s the irony of life. Merely living isn’t enough…it’s important to live with purpose. As I’m trying to get better about that, I really want to write more, too. After all, writing is one of my passions – I am grateful to have a fulfilling career that allows me to write every single day. Now I just need to channel my passion for writing back into my personal life, too! So, I’m going to start today. 🙂
Summer has been pretty laid-back – we’ve gone to a few concerts (including Train…our first dance song was “Marry Me”, so it was neat to hear the song live in concert!), had some beach days, a baseball game, and yesterday, went out on my parents’ boat. I feel like summer is flashing by right before my eyes, but I’ve been making a conscious effort to enjoy each day. Our weeklong OBX trip with my family is coming up the week of Labor Day, so I’m definitely looking forward to that! Lots of beach time, morning bike rides with my dad, and relaxation with no thoughts of working for a whole week! I. Can’t. Wait.
