Yep, I’m one of those people…I’m actually looking forward to watching the Royal Wedding on Friday morning (6:00am, EST, in case you wondered). Growing up, I remember hearing all about Princess Diana and her charity work, and then later on, the sad news of her death. Its crazy that I remember exactly where I was when I first heard the news…and I was only 8! After all of that happened, I watched documentaries and news programs about Princess Di and the Royal Family all the time. So, needless to say, I’ve always been interested in learning about the English Royalty. Not to mention, I used to have a crush on Prince William back in the day. Nowadays, I’d definitely choose Prince Harry over Wills any day 😉
I’ve heard a lot of talk about people throwing “Royal Wedding” parties in honor of the big day…seems like a fun idea. I would totally do that, but most people I’d invite could probably care less about the wedding that’s taking place 3000+ miles away…haha. Here are some ideas if you are one of those who plans to throw a party while watching Wills and Kate’s wedding!
Dress like Kate:
Have ‘tea party’ foods:
Use proper etiquette and manners and pretend like you’re a guest at the wedding…you know…if you watch it in HD, its almost like being there 😉 Not to mention, you’ll have a better view of the wedding from your own TV than all of the spectators will have that will be surrounding Westminster Abbey!
Is anyone hosting or going to a Royal Wedding viewing party?
